My thoughts on Mid-Journey getting sued by Hollywood.

Getting sued by Hollywood is not a walk in the park. Especially when they did it to Mid-Journey. But why didn't they do it sooner? Because, I understand, you can literally generate images similar to Disney style, to Marvel style, to anything. There is literally no board nor restrictions to stop you from generating anything. So Mid Journey got caught with their pants down. And it looks like these two companies are going head to head in suing Mid Journey. But let's break it down. Like a pure colombian cocaine

There's literally no doubt. Even your granny can spot the difference. If you create an art three years ago of a painting, and that painting gets uploaded to Facebook or to Instagram, and it becomes famous, and years later, there's an AI platform that can generate images, and I go on that platform and try to mimic that same image to get the same style in prompt. And when the image came out, it looks exactly like the original. Then, of course, it's going to get copyright. That's exactly what is happening with mid Journey, right now.

Since Disney owns Marvel, they own all of the copyright infringement, every image, and you can literally go on mid-journey and generate something in the same style, same format, like "Iron Man fighting Hulk in the busy streets of Tokyo". You will get exactly that. I'm telling you, it's straightforward but risky right now.

This is something I have never seen since the war in Iraq. Both Disney and Universal are not backing down. Because they are going head-to-head in suing Mid-Journey. They're leaving with something. I don't blame them. They said in a statement "By helping itself to Plaintiffs' copyrighted works, and then distributing images (and soon videos) that blatantly incorporate and copy Disney's and Universal's famous characters without investing a penny in their creation-Midjourney is the quintessential copyright free-rider and a bottomless pit of plagiarism"

And boy oh boy, this is gonna get spicy. It's gonna get more nastier than the Two Girls One Cup iconic movie. Even worse, Mid Journey just came out with a video generator. This is not gonna look good for them. Now this is the thing with mid-journey, when you generate a movie image scene like a style prompt and you describe exactly what you see in the movie and put it in a prompt and hit enter, best believe you're gonna get a similar style of look.

If you try that right now, best believe to keep it to yourself and not to upload that online. Because they're in hot waters right now.  Now, I remember when the MidJourney boss said, First, his team gathered under-flying works to be used to train the service. To do so, MidJourney downloaded from the Internet, then the other source, I'm wondering what source it is, and context using tools various described as bots, scrapers, stream reapers, video downloaders, and web crawlers.

I mean, I don't know what he was thinking, but was all of those copyrighted and licensed or free to use? But, he added further and said, He grabbed everything they can, dumped everything in a huge file, and they kind of set it on fire and trained some huge thing. What kind of huge thing? I don't know man, but he went on to say, second, prepare the data in mid-journey, cleaned the copies of the under-flying works that were collected in the previous step through faltering, processing and reformatting, etc., convert them to a common technical format.

The copies that were not filtered out in the cleaning process to train its image service. Steps that is necessary include creating more copies of the materials abstained in the gathering phase, such as new copy of each reformatted item. Then mid-journey then use the collected and cleaned data and copyrighted works to train its image service.

So basically what he is trying to say is, we generally need these images so we can train it. Then its users can generate copies of copies of the trained images that he has stored in it. Because AI is all about training. It was trained on something. That favorite AI music you enjoy? Well, it was trained on a musician. Same thing with the images and videos. God knows how those Gorilla videos on Google's VO3 is getting better and better. But anyway, this case is about to get hotter than a cup of coffee.

And my thoughts to this is, it's about to get even worse because these companies are not backing down. They are looking to sue other more companies, AI companies, which is out there.

Now, those are my thoughts. See you later enuh
